POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
General Manager of DUSC/GGFC
Downtown United Soccer Club (“DUSC”) and Gotham Girls FC (“GGFC”) invite applications and nominations for the position of General Manager, who will report directly to the Board of Directors.
Position Description:
In this senior leadership position, the General Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing operations consistent with overall strategy and assisting in developing frameworks for continued growth and success of DUSC/GGFC soccer programs.
The responsibilities of the General Manager will include the following:
• Coordination and supervision of program staff and volunteers
• Day to day management of operations with decision making responsibility
• Ensuring financial revenue and expenditure goals and targets are met
• Responsibility for recruitment and retention policies and staff career management
• Communication with program managers, staff, and families
• Reporting to the Board and providing input on strategic direction
Candidate Qualifications:
The successful candidate will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred
- Have demonstrated successful experience at least 5-8 years in length, preferably in a higher education setting, involving some aspects of athletic program development, management and leadership and/or not-for-profit experience, particularly with fundraising
- Be able to demonstrate a broad skillset of competencies
- Have team building/management skills and have the ability to coordinate collaborative efforts
- Display strong written and verbal communication skills
